You Don’t Need to “Go Viral”—You Need to Be Remembered

Let’s talk about the obsession with going viral.

Every time a Reel pops off or a TikTok gets 200k views, it feels like proof that virality is the goal. It’s flashy, exciting, and hey—who doesn’t want that dopamine hit? But here’s the truth: virality doesn’t automatically equal value. And it definitely doesn’t guarantee sales, loyalty, or long-term growth.

In fact, chasing viral content can actually hurt your brand if you’re not careful. When you’re creating just to get attention, you can drift away from your core message and attract the wrong audience—people who love your trend but don’t care about your product, service, or values.

So instead of chasing a moment, focus on building a brand people remember.

Ask yourself:

  • Would someone recognise your content if it had no logo on it?

  • Are you saying something people feel and want to return to?

  • Is your content helping your ideal client, even if it’s not trending?

That’s what builds longevity. That’s what earns trust. That’s what keeps your audience around long after the algorithm moves on.

Because here’s the truth: a hundred views from the right people are far more powerful than a hundred thousand views from people who’ll never engage with you again.

Create content that reflects your voice. Speak to the problems your ideal customer faces. Show up consistently and with purpose—even when the views are low. That’s how you become memorable.

And when you’re memorable? You don’t need to go viral to win.
